Artemis Zafrana
Born in Istanbul, childhood in Greece and studies in Germany. Artemis Zafrana has been exposed to cultures that are both contrary and complementary. This has developed her feeling for clear structures and discipline, but also for the culture of Greece, with its classical sculptors, philosophers and poets. The dialogue with the spirit of Ancient World, the spontaneity and globality of the world of today, coupled with the crossover from Orient to Occident has been a constant force driving on the efforts of the artist. Today she lives and works in her studio at the foot of Mount Olympus.
